Good smallmouth fishing in So Cal?
I would like to know some good smallmouth bass fishing spots near Huntington Beach California
Dude, if you are in Huntington Beach, then you should use all your small mouth skills and equipment and go to Davey’s locker on the Balboa peninsula and rent a skiff and fish for the best fighting bass in the world “the spotted bay bass” you can’t eat them they are all full of heavy metal and toxins but a typical morning will net you over 80 fish. Huntington Harbor has them as well but you will need your own boat there. I use grubs and paddle tails with a little anchovy smelly jelly on the leadheads. fish upstream letting your baits get to the bottom on your side of every piling where your shadow is behind you and not on the water where you are fishing.
